Photo: UHH/MIN/Fuchs The particle physicist Gregor Kasieczka, for example, is developing AI-based simulation processes as part of the KISS collaborative project. Since 1 March 2023, Universität Hamburg has been taking part in 5 new collaborative projects on digitalization in natural science basic research. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is funding the projects for 3 years. Two of the 5 research collaborations are being coordinated by the Institute of Experimental Physics. As the only German university, Universität Hamburg is taking part in 5 of a total of 10 collaborative projects being funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the ErUM-Data plan for the next 3 years. The sub-projects at Universität Hamburg will receive a total of ¤2.1 million. Two of the 5 research collaborations are being coordinated by the Institute of Experimental Physics.
