The Confucius Institute at Freie Universität Berlin is holding an International Day on Saturday, September 24 from 3 to 8 p.m. There will be a versatile program under the motto "Pilgrimage to the West," which is the title of a classical novel from the Ming dynasty during the 16th century. The novel portrays the journey of a monk to India, and the adventures are still alive in many films, TV shows, operas, and comics.
The short presentations, film clips, performances, and sample lessons will be devoted to East-West exchange. The topics reflect many aspects of Chinese art and culture: calligraphy, painting, crafts, language, martial arts, food, dance, and singing.
