Ihre Aufgaben

The successfull candidate will teach quantitative research methods to doctoral students in Social Work (some of the courses are open to master students) and will co-manage the Transdisciplinary Institute of Social Work (ITTS) located in the Faculty of Economics and Business (FSE). In collaboration with her/his ITTS colleague, she/he will supervise the doctoral students in Social Work. She/he will ensure that the ITTS is well anchored within the FSE in a perspective of interdisciplinary compentencies and exchange between Social Work, Economics and Management.
She/he demonstrates a strong interest in Social Work as study object (with a capacity to analyse social problems and research experience in the field), in relation with Economics or Management. She/he offers courses at the faculty, works in cooperation with the other faculties, other disciplines and other institutions (in particular Universities of Applied Sciences). In terms of research, she/he develops empirical research projects on issues related to Social Work (e.g. social policies, public management, network governance or organisational and human resources aspects of social work) and projects oriented towards application in collaboration with non-profit organisations, private companies or te public sector.

Ihr Profil

The candidate must hold a PhD in Economics, Management, or in Social Work. She/he demonstrates strong competencies in research supervision and teaching. She/he has extensive experience in empirical methods and competence in the evaluation, analysis, implementation or management of social work. She/he is able to teach quantitative research methods (experimental, modelling, field studies, etc.) with a marked interest in the development of innovative methods. She/he must have a track record of high-level international scientific publications either in Social Work with a strong link to Economics/Management or in Economics/Management with a strong link to Social Work. Courses are taught in English and French. French is the official administrative language of the University. Non-French speakers are expected to acquire working knowledge of French within a two-year period.
