Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)
or
Associate Professor
in Applied Psychology : Qualitative Approaches

Ihre Aufgaben

In your functions, you will have to :

Teaching ( 45%)
Six hours a week of teaching throughout the year in French, at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Additionally supervision of Master’s dissertations and PhD theses.

Research (45%)
The post-holder will pursue their own research in the psychological analysis of contemporary issues, participate in the Institute’s qualitative methodology consultation workshop and collaborate on research projects with other members of the institute of Psychology (IP), Faculty or University.

They will be expected to produce high-quality publications in international journals.

The post-holder will be an active member of the Institute of Psychology (IP) and will participate in the academic activities of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in the field of psychology.
They will seek external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Administrative responsibilities (10%)
In accordance with statutory requirements and in the name of collegiality, the post-holder will take on any administrative tasks that may be assigned to them by the Institute, Faculty, University or university decision-making bodies.

Ihr Profil

In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
  • PhD in psychology or equivalent qualification;
  • Expertise in qualitative methodology, with an interest in ‘mixed’ methods;
  • Knowledge about using digital tools in applied psychology;
  • Proven research and publication record in the psychological analysis of contemporary issues (e.g. digitalisation, sustainability, environment and social justice);
  • Experience in teaching qualitative and/or ‘mixed’ methods;
  • Expertise in qualitative data analysis software programs;
  • Good international networks;
  • Language proficiency in French and English.
