Postdoc / senior scientist position for the Swiss NanoAnalytics platform

The Swiss NanoAnalytics platform offers high quality services for the analysis of nanomaterials. This includes characterization of the physicochemical properties of nanomaterials, isolation and analysis of the occurrence of nanomaterials in food products and cosmetics, testing the stability and size of nanomedicines in biological fluids (e.g. blood serum), and testing material composites used in electronics or construction materials.

Ihre Aufgaben

The platform is concerned with the comprehensive characterization of a large variety of (nano)materials, including nanocapsules, inorganic and polymer nanoparticles, surfaces, powders etc., their isolation, stability testing and occurrence in consumer products etc.

Ihr Profil

Projects are typically in collaboration with regulators, industries, or academic partners and range from relatively simple material characterization to highly complex analytical developments. Applicants must have a PhD in Materials Science with recognized expertise in the field of particle and powder technology. This should include characterization of powder behavior, particle size/shape characterization, chemical composition analysis and surface characterization techniques. Excellent skills in the domain of electron microscopy are expected.
