Graduate School of Business The University of Zurich’s Graduate School of Business offers two PhD programs ("Management" and "Management & Economics"). Both are comparable to US American and British PhD programs and strive to provide a top research education with supervision by internationally renowned researchers. Students with an excellent Master’s or Diploma degree in Management, Economics or or related and even non-related fields are invited to apply for the program. Students with an outstanding Bachelor’s degree may enroll in a “fast-track” program enabling them to make a master degree on their way to a doctoral degree and use their master thesis as a research proposal for their dissertation, thus saving them up to two semesters in total. International Research Possibilities More than 50% of our research staff joined the Faculty from outside Switzerland. Research results are regularly published in international journals ranked A and A+. The Faculty’s Economics department was ranked first in 2009 Handelsblatt ranking with the whole faculty placed rank 30 in the Top 10’000 SSRN ranking. Doctoral students are encouraged and funded to attend international summer schools and conferences to present their results. Funds are also available for international research missions.
