Lichtdruck beschleunigt Ionen
Mit einem neuen Mechanismus zur Laser-Ionenbeschleunigung konnten Physiker Teilchen 40fach effizienter beschleunigen als bisher. Sie nutzten dafür den Lichtdruck, also den direkten Impulsübertrag zwischen Laserfeld und Materie - ein Mechanismus, der seit langem vorhergesagt worden war.
